March 1st the One Year Anniversary of our beloved Tim Dumlao

Tim was a father, a brother, a cousin to many, and most of all a great friend to many of us. March 1st marks the one year anniversary to our beloved Timothy Dean Dumlao. We loved this boy for his kindness & crazy antics. Tim was the guy that you can ask, "you down?" and he'd already be out the door. Full of energy and excitement. Always able to make any of us smile or laugh.

I remember Middle School, always seeing Tim and Ray. Some of the homegirls in which I grew up with mentioning this really cute boy Tim. Soon the last day of Middle School, I met Tim & Ray, and we had a great conversation/debate of Imports and Muscle cars. That day would be brought up to use 3 for our entire friendships. Tim would always still laugh about that day since I got a scion.

But we all have our great memories with Tim, we were all gratful to know him and cherish every single one of those memories we have.

We love you we miss you and will never forget you.

One Great Saturday 022308

Early rise and shine, well it was really sunny starting the day off in LA. Spent the night in LA since I was attending an informational seminar for a Vet. School I plan on applying to. The school that I'm looking into is Ross University. There were very few people who attended since the location of the school is pretty outrageous. But as I read the informational packet, I guess you can say I was finally re-inspired to keep going on with this goal of mine.

One quote taken from a letter written by the President of the school stated, "Don't give up your dreams lightly. Being called 'Dr.' for the first time is worth every bit of sacrifice. Pursuing a career in veterinary medicine is a life altering choice. If you are this far-if you are holding this piece of paper in your hands-it means you have already gone further than most people ever imagine.

The high intimidation of applying is due to that 10% acceptance rate. It's not easier to get into Ross, but at least if you are denied they give you options and let you know WHY you have not been accepted.

Majority of the AVM schools only accept about 110-120 applicants while Oregon State surprisingly only accepts about 60 of their Vet. applicants. None of this matters to me even if Advisers say I fall short of what is expected, I'm still applying to every where and any where because you never know.

The campus is located on St. Kitts on the eastern portion of the Caribbean.

The thought at first of moving to an island was "shit I'll get bored," thinking of everything open in Southern California, you guys are mad spoiled! I guess that's why many people who grew up here don't leave but anyway. Although it is island life I would really help me focus on schooling.

And this is next to the coast line.

The program on their campus is 28 straight months of schooling. Which would be about 7 semesters. The way this works is that semesters 1-7 are pre-clinical study, while semesters 8-10 they send us back to the states to Vet. schools of our choices.

From there we should graudate for our vet/doctorate degree. But to have a practicing license there are still a number of test we must take and one of them is at the insane cost of 7Gs!! This is the ECFVG (Educational commission for foreign vet. graudates) This is for those who graudate over seas and want to practice in the United States. Insane right?

But that was that, their presentation was great and I learned a lot. & I got this little guy at the seminar, stress monkey.

Got back to my brothers and tried to do some homework but got myself addicted to the HBO show "Six feet Under." This show is morbid as shit but it's really dope.

Ended up falling asleep on my book when I tried to study ahahaha

then I headed back to Pomona to get Jerome and we were off to Heat @ UCR.

Despite the rain, I thought it was fun as shit to go to a festival in the rain, especially with my good 'ol buddy Vien from Stockton who attends UCR. His friends are my friends and mine are his, it's always fun to bring groups of friends together, those that don't work are obviously WACK! But got to chill with them and some CAL POLY SLO folks so it was dope, we all drank and to be safe, we decided to take the 10-15 minute walk in the rain with about 15 people lol to the campus. Once we got their we all ended up splitting since the crowd was massive and everyone wanted to either post where they were or try to get to the front of stages. I ended with this crazy but cool dude Erik LOL we stayed a little for mos def then peaced to another stage since we've already seen him in the past.

On the stage we were at we got to see the dopeness of Girl Talk

& ended the night with the Clipse.

They played the same time as 311 who were on another stage. It's ok though I got to see them a few years back.

Once it was all over Jerome was lost and drunk LOL but it was all fun and a few of us hitched a ride back to Vien's and me and Jerome got back to our places and crashed what a long day.

The Hip Hop Heads that Love Punk & Metal

Ok I love how I meet some of the most random people growing up and moving from place to place. Growing up with all types of music in the house, mom played piano & guitar, dad loved classic & funk, while my brother got me into the stuff we grew up to. But I bet many of you that didn't now me in the past, didn't realize how much I love punk and rock. LOL Oddly enough all of us in the GSP crew played guitar wanted to start a band but it's funny how things change and now my hands on the realm of the hip hop community at Cal Poly Pomona. It was forever until Nov. 2007 since I've even listend or went anywhere near the punk scene but me and (my punk rock counter part) Kiko hit up an Anti-Flag show.

Drink a beer before the punk show

And fuck yeah I use to be in LOVE with Justin Sane!!!

O yeah the entire crowd became a mosh pit and I got kicked in the lip! LOL soooo good and so much fun!

Here's video of them at Hellfest

Also I met NagaSHIMASaki (MISHIMA) lol but yeah this boy I remember seeing him while I worked at Bamboozle West, I stood on stage during Murs' set and noticed out of this crowd od indie & emo kids were a good handful of people who like Murs. But yeah long story short, Mishima ended up hitting up about Session A, joined the committee and he happend to be crazy hardcore boy! He chills and performs with the band Winds of Plague! check out the video. LOL

they didn't even realize it but they were standing next to each other.

The Week of Valentines, Condoms, and surprises.

This by far has been a really random week. From midterms, valentines day, national Condom day, meetings, & other random crap. I really don't even know where to begin with this blog. But I guess let's start with the school biz, shit if you've already read this then you know my major. If you don't and you knew me in highschool you most likely think I'm at Art school, I still laugh when I go home and people say, "So how's SF?" No nigga I didn't go to art school, I live in Southern California and am going for my Vet. degree.

But yeah a lot of great new findings this week, those of you knew me growing up know despite my crazy antics (which I've become wackly calm nowadays) knew that I was super undercover academic nerd (minus the roller back pack). We use to sleep in the calculus class and steal pastries from the teacher lounge in the back LOL. But shit I guess I have been getting myself caught up with all this other stuff in my life that it is actually affecting my academics but then again I never realized that my grades were once actually high in the early years of college. Here goes the exciting part, I found out in '06 I was on the Deans List (basically its like honor roll)! I don't know where the lost of communication with my family and the school went but obviously I wasn't notified by this great achievement. So now it's time to buck up again and show these bitches up especially since everyone in my major under estimates me.

Also incase you didn't know that besides Feb. 14th was National Condom day, the wellness center on our campus did a thing called K.I.S.S (keep it safe & sexy) and also had an event where they gave you 25 condoms and you make stuff our of it, me and kiko made, a bracelet, necklace, and a ring. LOL yeah call us weird but we had fun with it.

Hope you all had a good Valentines day!

Also we got a few more shows coming up, Chris (dj Six) & myself are working on it so keep the dates open booth events are at Cal Pol Pomona:

Feb. 28th : Strictly Sessions

March 6th: Session A (Performers soon to be announced)

OOOOO YEAAAH!! MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE!!

Alright alright, you've got to be fuckin' kiddin me but man if your don't remember Macho Man Randy Savage, I shake my head lol. But alright So we all know Macho Man growing up watching wrestling.

Also in the Slim Jim Commercials.

We all knew him with his hypebeast colors, and cow boy hat. Of course by his, deep and husky "Oooooooo YEAH..."

But check this who would've ever thought of the Macho Man with Music!?

Yeeaaaahhh!!!

From Chinese New Year to Korean BBQ

There have been many events going on the campus of Cal Poly Pomona in the past few days, some of which were the Chinese New Year Festival and Make a Wish Benefit Concert.

Me and the Rams, hit up the New years event, and he hustled the group selling boba. HAHA then we got some things written in Chinese. We won because it took the guy forever to figure out how to write what we wanted in Chinese. I got "do what people are affraid to do" and Rams got "the Wu Tang Clan." None of them knew about the Wu.

Later that night, Me, Kiko, Tracy, & Chris were working on the Benefit show with the Athletics Department. Overall it went well despite the fact that some of the singers sucked at singing!! It was fun though seeing other people excited about the things that we do. A number of students were kicked out due to their idiotness of drinking at a school event. I wrapped myself in balloons in clean up though ahaha.

At the meeting the next day we were stuck to drawing on our agendas and kiko's had me laughing.

On Saturday I headed to LA for some lunch/dinner with my LA roommates, besides they were paying for me why not. It was nice and warm so Mr. Hypebeast decided to get his car washed before we went to the all you can eat Korean BBQ Buffet. Sooooooo good. o yeah outside the house since it was nice, the a-team van came out.

We had about 4 plates of meat and stayed there for almost 3 hours.

Lastly the night was ended with a great performance of the Vagina Monologues at Cal Poly.

Bronchitis: I got it...

So I've been sick for nearly two weeks, Riding my bike in the cold and the days have been getting warms probably haven't helped either. By the way, I have asthma, so this is why I'm kinda not happy when people smoke around me. But yeah I finally got checked and what not the physician (who attended Western University in Pomona, a school I'm going to apply to) told me it's bronchitis. This shit sucks because I'm coughing up the nastiest green shit throughout the day also the breathing is kinda hard on me. But yeah and man medication sucks when you don't have the money fun.. right? I droped 90 for pills I need only for 5 days and a brand new inhaler. So wack so save your money and dont get sick.

My future in Veterinary Medicine

I know a lot of people are confused about what my major actually is. I'm still going ahead with what I wanted to do, become a Vet. Oddly enough with all the hip hop shows I've helped with and done production with, this vet stuff interests me a lot. Many don't know that it's actually quite competitive to get into vet school and they usually only accept the top 10% of applicants for first time application. I'd love to stay in Cali since it's my home but right now heres the run down of 27 Veterinary Colleges:

Auburn University (AL)

Tuskegee University (AL)

University of California-Davis (CA)

Colorado State University (CO)

University of Florida (FL)

University of Georgia (GA)

University of Illinois (IL)

Purdue University (IN)

Iowa State University (IA)

Kansas State University (KS)

Louisiana State University (LA)

Tufts University (MA)

Michigan State University (MI)

University of Minnesota (MN)

Mississippi State University (MS)

University of Missouri (MO)

Cornell University (NY)

North Carolina State University (NC)

The Ohio State University (OH)

Oklahoma State University (OK)

Oregon State University (OR)

University of Pennsylvania (PA)

University of Tennessee (TN)

Texas A & M University (TX)

Virginia Tech/University of Maryland (MD)

Washington State University (WA)

University of Wisconsin-Madison (WI)

Although... there is still the option of going to Vet school over seas....

Ross University in the Caribbean, is lookin' dope... looks like I need to hit up a seminar.

A-trak & Kid Sister @ the Natural History Museum, LA

This was random and a dope way to kick off the year with of shows with A-trak & Kid Sister. I've been anticipating to see both of them sometime during and the year and what a better place to see them than the Natural History Museum. The place filled with Dinos, stuffed animals, and a bunch of other crazy dope stuff. It was exactly what I was imagining in my mind, of a performance in the middle of the museum. It was crazy to see A-trak with the background of a buffalo exhibit and I loved when he said, "let's make these dinosaurs dance."

It was a dope show, and everyone was dancing in front or behind the stage. Also noting that there were about 3 bars within the Museum for this event, there of course were LOTS of drunk people. A few of them were behind us during the show and angry people kept pushing them away. So that was great but highlight besides the performance which was crazy, was this drunk girl who was dancing behind us who simply drunk off her ass fell straight on her back! Yeah that was insane but great at the same time. O yeah, another girl behind me said, "O what I thought he was black!" when A-trak got up on the stage. It was a fun show overall, A-trak is one of the best and fun DJs that I've seen live. Here are a few clips that I got from the show. Enjoy & Happy concert going.
