Good things to take in, learning a lot again each day, getting my fitness on, spending time with my families, my little buddies, eating well, and educating myself in many ways.
Me & Spunk taking a walk, the two of us the brightest things on the block His facial expression cracked me up, we were on our way to the pet shop, to buy him a cone. No money to take him to the vet, so I'm resorting other solutions to his ear troubles. At least keeping it clean and keeping him from touching & scratching the crap out of it. This pic reminds me hot big his eyes are and reminds me of the time his eye was popping out, if you don't believe me look up Proptosis He wasn't too happy about it but he understands why I got it for him
These bad boys; Nike Aids laces got a new home on my Frees
Nights were you can eat well with cousins you've grown up with. It's always good to see them and spend time with them. Thank you Jack for the dinner. This... was so... DELICIOUS (greggy go get this at cold stone!)
Lastly the most random thing I ran into this weekend, walking out of my house looking down the street I see this giant Jumper block the entrance into a court. I wish I was able to go in it

This is an article I just read this morning. The article talks about situations where there have been "racial" problems with face detection on camera type products. I wasn't aware of the different types of face detections on cameras these days. At least not Nikon's "Did someone blink" message it brings up when it thinks someone has blinked. The Nikon Cool Pix was the first brought up in the article, a Taiwanses-American family bought one as a gift for their mother. When they would take pictures of each other that alert of "Did someone blink came up. She posted a blog about it titled, Racist Camera! No, I did not blink… I’m just Asian! That's actually pretty crazy. I didn't know any cameras had alerts like that.
My cannons have face detection but I think it will take the photo when everyone is smiling. That was also brought up in the article. You can read it in full here They bring up some web cameras as well.
Here's a video that goes along with what is brought up.
From the Bay Area, to the Central Valley, Los Angeles and all the Beach Areas as well as the rest of the IE. The rain for us up here in Northern California isn't really new but to go through the day in such weather is always a pain. But who would've thought that the OC would have a tornado warning? If you're not sure what I'm talking about then you can check that out here
As for us out here we have been surrounded by such weather as kids but of course it's not really something to get use to. The winds suck so far, at night and early morning when the wind is insane and the rain is pounding on the house, it really does sound as if a typhoon is here.
So this is what we got for us (click for larger images)
the wind and rain from the front and back of the house lol
I intended to go to SF this day but my mom just got home from work at 7am which meant... NO we're not going to SF. She also had other things in mind which she didn't tell me about until that morning.
The church was having it's annual Santo Niño Festival. Growing up with heavy religious grandparents we always seen Santo Niño's in homes as well as my parents and all the churches we've gone to in the Philippines. Also I've never been to anything like this EVER on a side note. My mother grew up in a religious family so this was something she was into. We went and it was pretty cool and crazy at the same time. I didn't realize that the Santo Niño, was a gift as an aliance with the Philippines and Spain, it was a gift from the Spanish, which also lead to the teachings of christianity. Mass didn't seem like regular mass it was more .. I guess you can say exciting, there were many people with the Santo Niño's singing and dancing with them, big and small statues. This was the first time besides a wedding I seen people casually taking photos inside the church as well. Here's a lady with her little Santo Niño This was one that was brought from Cebú, I wondered why it had a black face & this just brought me into a history lesson. In one of the battles in Cebú where villages were set on fire, in one of the huts a statue of Santo Niño didn't seem to be harmed but the face was black. This was in 1565 in Cebú. It was pretty cool the Knights of Columbus were there too, my grandfather was one of them when he was still alive. The cool part of mass was there was a part where people spoke 5 of the main dialects from the Philippines, crazy to hear how different they all sound from one another. Anyway after the mass there was a little gathering at the gym, where food and entertainment was provided. There was A LOT OF food and many performances from alliances throughout the area. Plus all of this was free so that was a plus. This was their burning of Cebú, hahah it was funny because the little fire got crazy I wondered if the fire alarms would go off. lots of dancing..Von.. your dad..
Your dad again
I actually didn't video her dancing but she was dancing with the pot on her head, and like rolling on the ground and doing all this dancing while balancing it on her head.
I got to hang out with some of my cousins and while I hung out with them Heather and Mike started talking about Nubi yogurt then it went onto random hearing of flavors they moved to the topic of ice cream and brought us some. But Heather Hella bought PUSH UPS! Brought back our childhood because we always use to wait for the ice cream man whenever we use to play hide and seek and get the flintstones push ups! & they got this cheese and corn ice cream that mike... didn't like hahaha the commercial was soooo hip hop
I read a pretty cool article on Nat. Geo again and would like to share. We've grown up to know that the ancient Egyptians wore eye make up, it's been portrayed on movies and photos we've seen. Studies have been done to see the chemical compounds of their make up. The make up has been said to be made for more than a cosmetic product. But the make up their wore might have be used as protection for their eyes.
This is a passage from the article:
"According to ancient Egyptian manuscripts, the eye makeup was believed to have a magical role, in which the gods Horus and Ra would protect wearers against several illnesses.
Bacterial eye infections such as conjunctivitis, for example, would have been a common problem along the Nile's tropical marshes." - Kate Ravilious, National Geographic.
Pretty cool huh? You can check out the entire article here
So awesome.. someone might have to get me or I might just have to get it myself, an underwater case for my camera. this one isn't too pricey this one is bank tho It would be fun especially once all the traveling starts again. These pictures are awesome by David Doubilet. Check out the rest of them here
So I've been back since Thursday the 7th? and it's just been gloom gloom & FOG! it just sits there and does nothing the sky is just grey all day, every day. Anyway I woke up moving all my boards around and seeing I have to start painting again, it's been way too long. Then it happened and of course I had to go outside for it, the SUN CAME OUT for a good little while. The temperature went up over 50 degrees, YES! because it was going to rain again. To your left its clear.. But awww... the rain is coming again... I lucky washed my car before the rain hit. I knew it was going to rain but have you seen my car after I've driven it up and down the state so much lately?! End the day with the tread, books, & kung fu movies that actually helped make the day better and plus! I spoke to my long lost friend Mr. Steven Sublaban. He's still in Korea but it's always a fun time to talk to this fool, since we've always been laughing at stupid things and getting into trouble whenever we hang out.
But yes Shogun Assassin big +, if you're a Wu head watch that movie you're gonna be like Ooohhh! or even if you just like gore & Kung Fu you'll like this movie. & also I watched The 5 Elements Ninja so goood! hahah
